Creating Rules to Restrict Content from Particular Customer Groups
To create rules to restrict content from particular customer groups in Magento 2 using the “Restrict Products by Customer Groups” extension, follow these steps:
Access the backend of your Magento 2 store.
Navigate to Addify EXTENSIONS > Addify Restrict Products > Manage Restrict Products.
On the “Manage Restrict Products” page, look for an option “Add New Restriction Rule” and click on it to create a new restriction rule.
Configure Rule Settings:
In the new restriction rule configuration, personalize the following options:
Title: Add a unique and descriptive title for future reference.
Enable: Select “Yes” to enable the rule.
Priority: Set the rule priority. This determines the order in which multiple rules are applied.
Customer Group: Choose the customer group for the rule. Options usually include:
- All Groups
- Not Logged In
- General
- Wholesale
- Retailer
Select the appropriate customer group based on your requirements.
Save Rule:
After configuring the rule settings, find the “Save Rule” button (usually at the top right or bottom of the page) and click it to save the new rule.
By following these steps, you should be able to create a restriction rule that restricts content for particular customer groups.
