How to Hide Menu Items for Different Customers & Customer Groups?

Hiding Menu Items for Different Customers & Customer Groups

It is beneficial for store owners to see that the right customers are able to see the right content, which will help in boosting customer engagement and conversions. The ability to hide or display specific menu items based on customer groups or individual customers allows store owners to create a personalized shopping experience. The PrestaShop Hide Menu Items by Customer Groups module provides store owners with the flexibility to control what is visible to different customers and customer groups.

To utilize this feature, follow the steps below:

1. Begin by installing and activating the PrestaShop Hide Menu Items by Customer Groups module in your store’s backend.

2. Navigate to the general settings of the module and activate it.

3. Configure the rule by clicking on the “+” button in the rules tab:

  • Rule Enable: Toggle this option to enable or disable a specific rule. Disabled rules will not influence menu visibility.
  • Title: Provide a descriptive title for each rule to easily identify it within the list of configurations.
  • Priority: Set the rule’s priority. In case of conflicts, higher-priority rules will take precedence over lower-priority ones.
  • Customer Groups: Select the customer groups that this rule will apply to. You can either choose to hide or show menu items for these groups.
  • Hide and Show Menu Items: Decide whether to hide or show menu items for the selected customer groups.
  • Menu Items: Specify which menu items will be affected by this rule.
  • Customers: Optionally, enable this setting to target specific customers rather than just groups.

4. After configuring the rule, click “Save” to apply the changes.
