Enabling Module Settings
Once you have installed the module, Go to Modules > Module Manager > Addify Google My Reviews. Now, click on Configure to activate module’s general settings:
- Activate module: Enable the button to activate module. If it is kept disabled, then you will not be able to display Google reviews on your store.
- Display on Mobile: Activate the option to feature Google reviews on mobile view.
- Cache: Enable cache to refresh latest Google reviews every week. If it is kept disabled, then Google reviews will not be updated.
Configuring Google Reviews Settings
Now, from the side menu bar, click on Google Reviews Settings and enter:
- API Key: Here, you need to add a valid API key to fetch Google My Business reviews on your website.
- Place ID: Add a place ID or use Google Place ID finder tool to locate your valid ID.
Customizing Google Review Popup
Once you have configured Google My Review settings, remain on the same page and click Review Styling Customization from the top menu bar:
- Activate Customer Review Badge: Enable the option to display customer review badge across your store.
- Display review as a pop-up: Choose to display customer reviews in form of a pop-up. Disable the option if you want to keep the review display as a badge.
- Enable review badge location: Select review badge location as:
- Floating: Select this option to make review badge floating across multiple places.
- Footer: Place review badge on the footer of your website or keep it:
- After footer
- Before footer
- Configure floating badge position: choose where the floating customer reviews badge should appear:
- Page top left
- Page top right
- Page bottom left
- Page bottom right
- Set badge design: Select the design of customer reviews badge as:
- Horizontal
- Vertical
- Add colors: You can select custom colors to design review:
- Badge border
- Rating background
- Text color
- Rating color
- Ask people to leave a review: Enable this option to display a button that asks them to “ Leave a Review.”
Set Automated Review Request Emails
By remaining on the same page, click “Review Request Emails”. Here you can configure email settings that will be used to collect reviews from your customers.
- Enable automatic review email: By enabling this, you can send automatic review request emails to customers. If it is kept disabled, then review emails will not be sent.
- Add order status: Select specific order status that triggers review request emails. You can choose order status as:
- Delivered
- Authorized to be capture by merchant
- Awaiting bank wire payment
- Awaiting cash on delivery validation
- Awaiting check payment
- Canceled
- On backorder ( paid/ not paid)
- Partial payment
- Partial refund
- Payment accepted
- Payment error
- Processing in progress
- Refunded
- Remote payment accepted
- Shipped
- Waiting for payment
- Add number of days: Set the number of days to send review request emails after the status is updated.
- Add email subject: Here, you can add email subject for customer review request emails.
- Add email content: Write a message for customers and send it as a request to add a review for your store.
