Enabling Auto-Approval and Manual Approval for Specific Customer Groups

Enabling auto-approval and manual approval for specific customer groups is essential for store owners as it streamlines the registration and onboarding process while maintaining control over customer segmentation. Auto-approval for trusted groups, such as loyal customers or verified businesses, ensures a quick registration experience. On the other hand, manual approval allows store owners to review and vet new registrations for specific groups that may require additional scrutiny, such as new vendors or high-risk customers. 

To enable this feature in your store, start by installing and activating this module to enable customer group selection and approval functionalities.

Navigate to the module’s General Settings tab to configure the necessary options.

Display Group Selection on Registration Form: Toggle this setting to “Enabled” to display a dropdown menu on the registration form where customers can select their customer group.

Customer Group: Choose the specific customer groups you want to be available in the dropdown menu on the registration form.

Field Required: Enable this option to make it mandatory for users to select a customer group when filling out the registration form.

Enable Auto Approval: Toggle this setting to “Enabled” to allow automatic approval for users selecting certain customer groups.

  • Customer Group: Specify which customer groups will be eligible for auto-approval. Users selecting these groups will be automatically approved upon registration.

Additionally, you can also schedule approval moderation:

Scheduled Approval Moderation: If you want to moderate approvals within a specific timeframe, enable this option.

  • Start Date: Set the date when moderation begins.
  • End Date: Set the date when moderation ends.

Manual Approval:

If the auto-approval option is disabled, user requests will be sent for manual approval. This allows for a more controlled and personalized approval process for specific customer groups.

After configuring the settings, click “Save” to apply and activate the changes.
