Setting up the multiple Pricing rules
Creating a New Rule
PrestaShop Price by Customer Group & Country allows you to create a new rule and customize it according to your requirements.
General Settings:
Configure general settings of the module, including:
Active Rule: Choose ‘Yes’ to activate the rule
Rule Name: Set custom rule name for future reference
Rule Priority: Add rule priority (1 is the highest priority)
Rule Starting Date: Add a starting date for the rule
Rule Ending Date: Add an ending date for the rule
Adjusting Price Modes
Actions:
Mode: Adjust the price modes for the rule. Select from the 2 options:
- Increment
- Reduction
Apply Increment/Reduction On: Choose to skip the product on discount or override the existing discount
- Skip Already Incremented/Discounted Products
- Override Increment/Discount
Note: If the selected product already has a specific rule for all combinations, all countries, all groups, all currencies, or all customers, then the specific rule will not get overridden.
Type: Specify the type of price you want to apply the rule for:
- Amount
- Percentage
Price Calculation Type: Specify the price calculation type from the two options:
- Retail Price With Taxes
- Retail Price Without Taxes
Product Minimum Quantity: Add minimum quantity for discount. If 5 is added, the discount or markup will be applied once the add-to-cart quantity exceeds “5”.
Enabling Countdown Timer
Countdown Settings:
Countdown In Product Listing: Enable countdown for listing pages
After Message: Add a custom message
Countdown message in Product Listing: Enable countdown for product pages
Before Message: Add a custom message
Restricting Price Rules Based on Customer Groups
Customers Group Selection:
Select customer groups for which you want to apply price change. For example, if you select a customer here, the price change will apply to customers only, whereas other customers will see standard prices.
Customer Group: Choose the customer group/s on which you want to apply products reservation
- Visitor
- Guest
- Customer
Configuring Prices for Selected Products
Product Selection:
Using the product selection tab, you can choose to apply a price change to selected products.
Search Product: Search an individual product(s) to apply the rule
Category: Choose category(s) to apply the rule
Filter By Price: Enable to filter by product price
Filter By Stock: Enable to filter by product stock
Filter By Weight: Enable to filter by product weight
Manufacturer: Choose the manufacturer for whom you want to apply the rule
Supplier: Choose the supplier for whom you want to apply the rule
Adjusting Localization-Based Pricing
Localization Settings (Country):
Using the localization tab, you can choose to apply a price change to the selected:
Country: Choose the country in which you want to apply the price rule
Zones: Choose the zones on which you want to apply the price rule
Languages: Choose the languages to which you want to apply the price rule
Currency: Choose the currency on which you want to apply the price rule
Viewing a Complete Log of Price Rules
PrestaShop Price by Customer Group & Country lets users view and track pricing rules in a log. Once you have enabled the conditions, you can create new rules using the “+”. You can also edit an existing log by clicking the “Edit” option for each rule.
The log displays useful information like Price Rule ID, Title, Priority, Status, Date of Creation, and Last Modified Date. You can also perform bulk actions on these rules.
