Scheduling Automated SKU Generation at Custom Intervals
Manual SKU updates can be time-consuming, especially for large stores, which makes automation crucial. The SKU Generator for WooCommerce plugin allows you to schedule automated SKU generation at custom intervals so that your store’s SKUs remain up to date without manual intervention.
Step 1: Access WooCommerce Settings
- Go to WooCommerce > Settings in your WordPress Admin Dashboard.
- Navigate to the SKU Generator tab.
Step 2: Enable the Cron Job for Automated SKU Generation
- Locate Cron Job Settings: Scroll down to find the Enable Cron Job option.
- Activate Cron Job: Check the box to enable the cron job feature. This will allow automated SKU generation at specified intervals.
Step 3: Set Custom Intervals for SKU Generation
- Add Intervals: Locate the Add Intervals field and specify the frequency for automated SKU updates. You can set the interval in:
- Minutes
- Hours
- Days
Step 4: Review and Save Changes
- Verify the Interval Settings: Double-check that the interval values are correct to avoid frequent or unintended updates.
- Save Changes: Click the Save Changes button to apply the scheduled SKU generation settings.
