Adding and Adjusting Costs Using Global Rules

To add costs using global rules and adjust costs either as fixed amounts or percentages with the WooCommerce Costs of Goods Sold plugin, follow these steps:

Go to WooCommerce > Cost of Goods Settings > Rules.

Click the “Add New” button to create a new Cost of Goods Rule.

Customize the Following Settings:

Title:

Add Title: Provide a clear and descriptive title for your cost rule. This title will help you identify the rule easily.

Restrictions:

Specify Products and Categories: Enable this option if you want to apply the rule to specific products or categories. Leave it unchecked to apply the rule to all products.

Select Product: Choose specific products to which this rule should apply if you enabled the “Specify Products and Categories” option.

Select Category: Select categories to which this rule should apply if you enabled the “Specify Products and Categories” option.

Select Cost Type:

Define the Cost Type: Choose between the two options based on how you want to adjust the costs.

  • Fixed 
  • Percentage

If Fixed:

Enter Cost Amount: Input the fixed cost amount for the selected products or categories.

If Percentage:

Enter Cost Amount: Input the percentage by which you want to adjust the costs for the selected products or categories.

Save the Rule:

After configuring the settings, click the “Publish” button to save the changes you have made.

Usage:

Once the rule is saved, it will be applied to the specified products or categories based on the rules you’ve set. The costs for these products will be adjusted according to the type (fixed or percentage) and amount you specified in the rule.

Repeat this process for additional rules if you need to apply different cost adjustments to other products or categories. These rules provide a flexible way to manage and adjust costs for your products using the WooCommerce Costs of Goods Sold plugin.
