Adding Custom Text, Link, and Button & Changing the Background Color
To customize the text, link, and button in the WooCommerce Cookie Consent bar and change the background color, follow these steps:
Customizing Text, Link, and Button:
Access Plugin Settings:
Go to your WordPress Admin Panel.
Look for the “Cookie Consent” option in your WordPress dashboard menu. Click on “Text Settings.”
Modify Text and Button Settings:
In the Text Settings section, you can customize the following elements:
- Popup Text: This is the text that will be displayed on the Cookie Consent popup. You can change this text to inform users about your cookie usage and GDPR compliance.
- More Info Button Text: Set the text for the “More Info” button. This button redirects users to a page where they can find more information about your website’s cookies and privacy policies.
- More Info Page URL: Specify the URL for the “More Info” page. This URL can be from your website or an external source that provides detailed information about cookies and privacy.
- Acceptance Button Text: Define the text for the button that allows users to accept cookies. You can customize this text to encourage users to accept cookies or indicate their consent.
Save Changes:
After making your customizations, remember to save the changes within the plugin settings.
Changing Background Color and Styles:
Navigate to Cookie Consent CSS Settings:
In the WordPress dashboard, go to “Cookie Consent” and click on “CSS Settings.”
Customize Styles:
In the CSS Settings section, you can change the appearance of the Cookie Consent notification:
- Position: Choose where you want the notification to appear, either as a “Top Bar” or “Bottom Bar.”
- Display Button With Text: Enable this option if you want to display the confirmation button along with the notification text.
- Use Cross (x) Icon for Close: Enable this option to use a cross (x) icon for closing the notification.
- Text Color: Specify the text color for the notification text.
- Background Color: Define the background color for the notification bar. This is where you can change the background color.
- Link Color: Set the color for links within the notification.
- Button Color: Specify the text color for the notification button.
- Button Background: Define the background color for the notification button.
Save Changes:
After adjusting the style settings, make sure to save your changes in the plugin settings.
