Specifying Region(s), Page(s), and Expiry Date
To specify the region(s), page(s), and expiry date for displaying the Cookie Consent Bar in WooCommerce GDPR and Cookie Consent, follow these steps:
Access Plugin Settings:
Go to your WordPress Admin Panel.
In your WordPress dashboard, locate the “Cookie Consent” option and click on “Basic Settings.”
Configure Display Settings:
In the Basic Settings section, you can specify several display-related settings:
- Show Only On Home Page: Choose this option if you want to display the Cookie Consent notification exclusively on the home page. If you enable this option, the consent bar will only appear on your website’s home page.
- Cookie Expiry Time: Define the number of days for which the cookie will be set. This determines how long user preferences for the cookie consent will be remembered. For example, if you set it to 30 days, users won’t see the consent bar again for 30 days after giving or denying consent.
- Regions to be Excluded: If you have the GeoIP Detect plugin activated, you can specify regions or areas of the world where you do not want to display the Cookie Consent notification. This feature allows you to customize the display based on geographic regions and comply with region-specific regulations.
Save Changes:
After configuring these settings, save the changes within the plugin settings.
By following these steps, you can specify the region(s) where the Cookie Consent notification should be displayed, choose whether to display it only on the home page, set an expiry date for the cookie, and exclude regions from displaying the Cookie Consent bar, ensuring that it is compliant with your specific requirements and regional regulations.
