Enabling Variation Restriction Based on User Roles
Selecting the Restriction Type
In the Product Edit Sheet, navigate to the Variations section. Afterward, select the “Expand” button to reveal the comprehensive settings for each variation.
The “Variation Control for User Roles” section empowers you to tailor the following two selections:
Selecting restriction type: Pick a restriction type for user roles. There are two options available:
- Unselectable: This will display hidden variations to the chosen roles, but they won’t be able to select or add them to the cart
- Completely Hide: This will hide specific variations completely
Select User Roles: Select roles for which you want to restrict this variation:
- Administrator
- Editor
- Author
- Contributor
- Subscriber
- Customer
- Shop manager
- Wholesale
- B2B
- Retailer
- Guest
