Adding Selected Products, Categories, and Pages to the Sitemap
To add selected products, categories, and pages to your sitemap using the Addify Site Map Generator plugin, follow these steps:
Log in to your WordPress Admin panel.
Locate the Addify Site Map Generator section.
Click on “Add New Site Map.”
In the “Add Title” field, enter a unique title for your new sitemap.
Configuring Categories:
Under the “Categories” section, you can customize the inclusion of categories in your sitemap.
- Include Categories: Select “Yes” to include categories in the sitemap.
- Priority: Set the priority for categories from 0.0 to 1.0.
- Frequency: Choose the update frequency for category pages from the options:
- Always
- Hourly
- Daily
- Weekly
- Monthly
- Yearly
- Never
- Include Images: Choose “Yes” to include category images in the sitemap.
- Select Categories: Choose the specific categories you want to include in the sitemap.
Configuring Products:
Under the “Products” section, you can control the inclusion of products in your sitemap.
- Include Products: Select “Yes” to include products in the sitemap.
- Priority: Set the priority for product pages from 0.0 to 1.0.
- Frequency: Choose the update frequency for product pages from the options:
- Always
- Hourly
- Daily
- Weekly
- Monthly
- Yearly
- Never
- Include Images: Choose “Yes” to include product images in the sitemap.
- Exclude Products: If you wish to exclude specific products, add their URLs separated by commas (e.g., URL1, URL2, URL3).
Configuring Pages:
In the “Pages” section, you can customize the inclusion of pages in your sitemap.
- Include Pages: Select “Yes” to include pages in the sitemap.
- Priority (Global): Set the global priority for pages from 0.0 to 1.0. You can override this priority on a per-page basis in the “Select Pages” section.
- Frequency: Choose the update frequency for page inclusion from the options:
- Always
- Hourly
- Daily
- Weekly
- Monthly
- Yearly
- Never
- Select Pages: Choose the specific pages you want to include in the sitemap.
