Click the <strong>\u201cPre Order Settings\u201d<\/strong> option.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will first enable the Pre Order settings by clicking<strong> \u201cSet as Pre Order.\u201d <\/strong>&nbsp;Afterward, you can configure the following settings based on your needs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Set as Pre Order: <\/strong>This option allows you to set a product as a pre-order item. Toggle this option to activate the product&#8217;s pre-order status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>When enabled, customers will see it labeled as a pre-order, indicating it\u2019s available for purchase before it\u2019s in stock.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>User Roles: <\/strong>Select which user roles are allowed to place pre-orders. This helps you control access based on specific user types.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Check the roles you want to allow for pre-orders. For example, select &#8220;Customer&#8221; and &#8220;Retailer&#8221; to make pre-orders available to these user roles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Product Release Date: <\/strong>Set the date when the pre-ordered product will be available. This data helps manage customer expectations and communicates the availability timeline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Product Release Time: <\/strong>Specify the exact time the pre-ordered product will be released. This is useful for providing a precise time for availability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Add to Cart Button Text: <\/strong>Customize the text displayed on the &#8220;Add to Cart&#8221; button for pre-order products. Edit this field to any custom message, such as &#8220;Reserve Yours Today&#8221; or &#8220;Pre-Order Now.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Availability Text: <\/strong>Display a custom message about the product\u2019s availability. Use this field to inform customers when the product will be ready for shipping or pickup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Price Adjustment: <\/strong>Control any price modifications for pre-ordered items helping you to apply discounts or markups as needed. You can choose the price adjustment type:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Set the Price Manually\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Set Price<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Markup Existing Prices\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Price Type (Regular, Sale)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increment Type (Fixed, Percent)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set Price<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Replace with Original Price<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Discount on Existing Prices\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Price Type (Regular, Sale)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Increment Type (Fixed, Percent)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set Price<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pay Later: <\/strong>This setting allows customers to delay payment until the product is released. It\u2019s helpful if you want to secure orders without immediate payment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-rt.googleusercontent.com\/docsz\/AD_4nXe9g1l7Y7YyfJPsemvS2O1iv87V9cirEbnyudaisBtaEGrKRc9VHCKXfWjJ8gaApfykwGw18jexfK-iRMopkJiTOSO8xQ6GgmqIwoYIGJDt5rbu1fgSKVr3fj99l4mJO3gcG9h0Sw?key=ZD_KjkF1KpATj_K21YiqxGqo\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Configuring BackOrders for these Products<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In the<strong> \u201cInventory\u201d <\/strong>tab, you can configure back order settings for a product.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stock Management: <\/strong>Select the box to enable backorder settings<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Quantity: <\/strong>Control stock quantity<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Allow Backorders: <\/strong>While managing stock, this controls whether or not backorders are allowed. (Note: If enabled, stock quantity can go below 0).
