Allowing Customers to Add Personalized Gift Messages
Personalized gift messages add a special touch to any purchase and make the gift more meaningful. Allowing customers to include custom messages with their orders can enhance the shopping experience and encourage repeat business. Here’s a guide on how to enable personalized gift messages using the PrestaShop Gift Wrapper module.
Step 1: Install and Activate the PrestaShop Gift Wrapper Module
Start by installing and activating the PrestaShop Gift Wrapper module. This module provides the features needed to offer gift wrapping and personalized gift messages on your store.
Step 2: Access the Configuration Settings
After the module is installed, navigate to your store’s backend. Go to the Modules section and find the installed modules list. Select “Addify Gift Wrapper” to open the configuration settings.
Step 3: Create a New Gift Wrapping Rule
To enable personalized gift messages, you need to create a new gift wrapping rule:
- Click the “+” Button: In the Rule Settings section, click the “+” button to add a new rule.
Locate “Allow Gift Message”:
- Go to the ‘Information’ tab within the rule creation interface.
- Find the Allow Gift Message option and enable it. This will activate a text box where customers can enter their custom messages during the checkout process.
- Fill in the other necessary details for the rule, such as the title, price, image, and any other customizations you want to offer.
Step 4: Save the Rule
Once all the details are entered and the “Allow Gift Message” option is enabled, click “Save” to create and activate the new rule. The personalized gift message option will now be available to customers during checkout.
