Restricting Products, Categories, and CMS Pages

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to restrict products, categories, and CMS pages with the PrestaShop Private Products & Category Module:

Log in to your PrestaShop admin panel using your username and password.

Go to Modules > Module Manager.

Locate and Access the Addify Hide Product and Category Module. Click on the “Configure” option.

Create a New Rule:

Inside the module configuration, click on the “+” button to create a new rule for restricting catalog items and pages.

Configure Rule Details:

  • Title: Provide a descriptive title for the rule (e.g., Product and Category Restriction).
  • Priority: Assign a numeric value to set the rule’s priority.
  • Active: Enable or disable the rule based on your preferences.
  • Customer Group Selection: Choose the customer group(s) for which you want to apply the catalog and page restrictions.
  • Search and Add Products to Hide List: Use the “Search Product” field to find and add specific product(s) to the hide list. These products will be restricted to the selected customer group(s).
  • Choose Categories to Restrict: Select the categories that you want to restrict for the chosen customer group(s) under the “Categories” section.
  • Select CMS Pages to Restrict: Choose the CMS pages that you want to restrict for the specified customer group(s).

Save the Rule:

After configuring all the rule details, click on the “Save” button to save the rule.

Creating Multiple Rules:

If you need to create additional rules for different customer groups or specific products/categories, repeat the process by clicking the “+” button and configuring the details for each rule.

By following these steps, you can effectively use the PrestaShop Private Products & Category Module to restrict products, categories, and CMS pages for specific customer groups.
