Adding Field Validation in Custom Fields
Go to WooCommerce > Custom Fields > Add New Field. Add a customized field title to your new field and proceed to the next option.
Choose From 3 Different Types of Field Validation
When selecting a field type from a dropdown, select “VAT Field” from the 19 different field types.
Choose from 3 different VAT Validation Types:
- None
- Length
- VIES Validation
While ‘None’ provides no validation, ‘Length’ ensures basic format compliance, and ‘VIES Validation’ offers a more comprehensive and accurate verification.
The validation type you choose depends on the specific needs and requirements of your business as well as the geographical scope of your operations.
