Creating Groups for Individual Products (Product-Level Settings)
Go to Products in the WordPress Admin Dashboard. Then, select a product and click Edit. Scroll down to the Product Data section and select Group Buy from the dropdown menu.
Here, you can customize the Group Buy settings for the selected product, independent of the global settings.
- Public Group: Toggle this to allow any registered user to join a group for this product.
- Allow Number of Public Group: Specify the maximum number of public groups that can be created for this product.
- Private Group: Toggle this to allow users to create private groups for this product, where only invited members can join.
- Allow Number of Private Group: Define the maximum number of private groups that can be created for the product.
- Group Member: Enter the minimum number of members required to complete the group purchase and unlock the discount.
- Days: Set the number of days within which the group must reach the required member count for the discount to apply.
- Apply to User Roles: Select specific user roles that can participate in the group buy for this product.
- Customer Restriction: Check this box to prevent users from buying multiple times within the same group, ensuring fair participation.
- Select Price Type: Choose whether the group discount should apply to the product’s Regular Price or Sale Price.
- Select Discount Type: Choose between the following discount types:
- Percentage: Apply a percentage-based discount (e.g., 10%).
- Fixed: Offer a fixed amount discount (e.g., $5 off).
- Enter the Discount Value: Specify the exact discount value based on the selected type.
- Group Discount Custom Text: Enter a message to be displayed with the group buy offer, such as: “Join this group and claim {discount_value}% discount!”.
- Group Description: Provide a brief explanation of the group buy offer or special instructions related to this product.
- Start Date of Rule: Choose the date when the group buy feature will be enabled for the product.
- End Date of Rule: Select the date when the group buy option will be disabled for the product.
