Restricting Referrers by User Roles

Using the WooCommerce Refer a Friend plugin, you can restrict referral by user roles for both types of discounts:

• Referrer Discount 
• Referee Discount

Go to WooCommerce > Refer a Friend. Here you can configure general user role settings for both referrer and referee discounts. 

To Restrict Referrer Discount based on User Roles:

1. Go to Referrer Discount settings.
2. Checkmark to enable discount for the referrer.
3. Go to ‘User Roles’ to specify user roles who can refer friends and earn discounts (Leave empty to enable it for all users).
4. Choose from the following user roles:
   1. Administrator
   2.  Editor
   3.  Author
   4.  Contributor
   5.  Subscriber
   6.  Customer
   7.  Shop manager
   8.  Wholesale
   9.  B2B
   10.  Retailer
5. After selecting the allowed user roles and excluding the restricted user roles, save the changes to apply the new settings.

To Restrict Referee Discount based on User Roles:

1. Go to Referee Discount settings.
2. Checkmark to enable discount for a referee.
3. Go to ‘User Roles’ to specify user roles who can use the referral code (Leave it empty to enable it for all users).
4. Choose from the following user roles:

1. Administrator
2.  Editor
3.  Author
4.  Contributor
5.  Subscriber
6.  Customer
7.  Shop manager
8.  Wholesale
9.  B2B
10.  Retailer

5. After selecting the allowed user roles and excluding the restricted user roles, save the changes to apply the new settings.
