You can combine flat rates and express shipping methods into one by using the Advanced Conditional Shipping extension. It can be set up within minutes. From its General Settings, enable the shipping key and Go to WooCommerce> Conditional Shipping> Combine Shipping. Here, you can add multiple shipping methods and combine them into one. For a detailed overview, follow these steps:
1. Once you have activated and installed the extension, go to its General Settings and Enable Shipping Key.
2. Now select user roles for which you want to combine the shipping methods. Also, check the option to display a shipping key ( combination of all shipping methods) on checkout.
3. Go to WooCommerce > Conditional Shipping and click on Combine Shipping. Here, add the title, enter the base fee according to which the shipping key will be calculated, and make it taxable or nontaxable.
4. Now scroll down to conditions and enter flat rate shipping & express shipping methods. Click on Remove Method and assign it an additional cost.
- Note: The additional cost can be subtracted or added from the actual shipping cost.
