Applying Restrictions Based on Date Range
To apply restrictions based on start and end dates using the WooCommerce Cart & Order Restriction plugin, follow these steps:
Install and Activate the Plugin:
Ensure that you have already installed and activated the WooCommerce Cart & Order Restriction plugin on your WordPress website.
Access the Plugin Settings:
Go to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to WooCommerce > Order Restriction.
Create or Edit a Restriction Rule:
To set up restrictions based on specific date ranges, you can either create a new cart and order restriction rule by clicking “Add New Rule” or edit an existing rule.
Configure the Date Range Restriction
In the rule settings, you’ll find a section for “Restricting Orders Based on Duration.”
Date Range:
Choose the “Date Range” option to set limitations based on time.
Start Date: Set the start date for the rule. This is the date from which the restriction will be applied. For example, if you want to limit a promotion to run from November 1st, you would enter “2023-11-01” in the “Start” field.
End Date: Set the end date for the rule. This is the date until which the restriction will be applied. If you want the promotion to end on November 15th, you would enter “2023-11-15” in the “End” field.
Leaving Fields Empty: If you want the restriction to have no date limits, simply leave the “Start” and “End” fields empty. This means the rule will be applied without any date restrictions.
Save the Rule:
After configuring the date range restrictions, click the “Save Changes” button to save the rule.
Test the Restriction:
To ensure that the date-based restrictions are working as intended, you can test by attempting to place orders before or after the specified date range. The rule should only apply during the defined date range.
