Restricting Checkout for Selected User Roles
To restrict checkout for selected user roles in WooCommerce using the WooCommerce Cart & Order Restriction plugin, follow these steps:
Install and Activate the Plugin:
First, you need to install and activate the WooCommerce Cart & Order Restriction plugin if you haven’t already. You can find and install this plugin from the WordPress plugin repository.
Access the Plugin Settings:
After activation, go to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to WooCommerce > Order Restriction.
Create a New Restriction Rule:
To create a new cart and order restriction rule, click on “Add New Rule.” If you want to edit an existing rule, you can select it from the list.
Configure User Role-Based Restriction
Under the rule settings, you can configure the restriction based on user roles.
User Option:
Under the “User Option” section, you will see two fields: “Select Role” and “Select User.”
Select Role: Specify the user roles to which you want to apply the restriction rule. You can select one or more user roles. If you want the rule to apply to all user roles, leave this field empty.
Select User: You can specify individual customers to whom the restriction rule should apply. If you want to restrict checkout for specific users within the selected user roles, you can enter their usernames or emails in this field.
Save the Rule:
After configuring the user role and user-specific settings, click the “Save Changes” button to save the rule.
Test the Restriction:
To ensure that the restriction is working as intended, you can test it by logging in with different user roles or specific users that you’ve configured in the rule.
By following these steps, you can successfully restrict checkout for selected user roles and individual customers in your WooCommerce store using the WooCommerce Cart & Order Restriction plugin.
