Enabling Cookie Consent on Your Store

Applying Cookie Consent 

Go to WP Admin Panel > Cookie Consent > Basic Settings.  

Cookie Apply Method: There are two options for the Cookie Apply Method:

  • Automatic: Cookies are created automatically, and a notification message is shown to users on the front end
  • Manual: Along with the notification message, an “Agree” button is displayed. Cookies are only created when the user clicks the “Agree” button

Show Only On Home Page: Choose this option if you want to display the Cookie Consent notification exclusively on the home page

How to Close Popup: Select how you want users to close the cookie popup notification:

  • On Click: Users can close the popup by clicking anywhere outside the notification
  • On Scroll: The popup closes when the user scrolls
  • Timed: Set a duration in seconds for the popup to automatically close

Popup Duration: Enter the time in seconds for the popup to remain open. This option is relevant when you choose “Timed” as the close method

Scroll Height: Specify the scroll height in pixels. This setting affects the “On Scroll” close method

Cookie Expiry Time: Define the number of days for which the cookie will be set

Regions to be Excluded: If you have the GeoIP Detect plugin activated, you can specify regions or areas of the world where you do not want to display the Cookie Consent notification

Customizing the Cookie Bar 

Text Settings

Go to WP Admin Panel > Cookie Consent > Text Settings to update the text that is displayed to the users on the front end.

Popup Text: This is the text that will be displayed on the Cookie Consent popup

More Info Button Text: Set the text for the “More Info” button. This button redirects users to a page that you specify in the “More Info Page URL”

More Info Page URL: Specify the URL for the “More Info” page. This URL can be from your website or any external source

Acceptance Button Text: Define the text for the button that allows users to accept cookies

Styles Settings

Go to WP Admin Panel > Cookie Consent > CSS Settings to customize the appearance of the Cookie Consent notification.

Position: Choose where you want the notification to appear:

  • Top Bar
  • Bottom Bar

Display Button With Text: Enable this option to display the confirmation button along with the notification text

Use Cross(x) Icon for Close?: Enable this option to use a cross (x) icon for closing the notification

Text Color: Specify the text color for the notification

Background Color: Define the background color for the notification

Link Color: Set the color for links within the notification

Button Color: Specify the text color for the notification button

Button Background: Define the background color for the notification button
