Applying Price Changes on the Entire Catalog or Selected Products and Categories
For store owners, managing pricing across their product catalog is crucial for adapting to market trends, seasonal promotions, or specific customer segments. The WooCommerce Attribute Price Markup and Discount plugin allows you to apply price changes to the entire catalog or selectively target specific products and categories.
Follow this step-by-step guide to simplify your pricing strategy and ensure flexibility in your WooCommerce store.
Step 1: Install and Activate the Plugin
- Download the WooCommerce Attribute Price Markup and Discount plugin from your WooCommerce account.
- Log in to your WordPress Admin dashboard.
- Navigate to Plugins > Add New, upload the plugin’s .zip file, and click Install Now.
- Once installed, click Activate to enable the plugin.
Step 2: Navigate to the Rule Settings
- In your WordPress Admin dashboard, go to WooCommerce > Attribute Price.
- Click Add New Rule to start creating a new pricing rule.
Step 3: Set Up Basic Rule Details
- Add Title: Enter a descriptive title to identify the rule easily (e.g., “Holiday Sale – Entire Catalog”).
- Enable/Disable Rule: Toggle to enable the rule if you want it to be active or disable it to save it for later use.
- Date: Define the start and end dates for the rule if you want it to run on a schedule.
Step 4: Customize the Restrictions Section
- Select User Roles: If necessary, limit the rule to specific customer roles (e.g., wholesale customers or members). Leave it blank to apply the rule to all users.
- Apply on Entire Catalog: Check this box to apply the price adjustment to all products in your store. Leave it unchecked if you want to apply the rule to specific products or categories.
Step 5: Include or Exclude Products and Categories
If applying the rule selectively:
- Select Products: Choose the specific products to include or exclude.
- Select Categories: Choose the product categories to include or exclude.
Step 6: Set Rule Priority
Specify the Order in which this rule should apply relative to other rules. A lower number means higher priority.
Step 7: Publish the Rule
Once you have configured all settings, click Publish to activate the rule.
