Updating prices for individual product attributes and terms is essential for store owners who want to fine-tune pricing at a granular level. This feature is particularly useful for products with variations like size, color, or material, which allows for precise control over their pricing strategy.
By using the WooCommerce Attribute Price Markup and Discount plugin, you can easily adjust prices for specific attributes or terms without affecting the entire product catalog.
Step 1: Install and Activate the Plugin
- Download the WooCommerce Attribute Price Markup and Discount plugin from your WooCommerce account.
- Log in to your WordPress Admin dashboard.
- Navigate to Plugins > Add New, upload the plugin’s .zip file, and click Install Now.
- Once installed, click Activate to enable the plugin.
Step 2: Access the Product Attributes
- In your WordPress Admin dashboard, go to Products > Attributes.
- Select the specific attribute you want to edit (e.g., “Size” or “Material”).
Step 3: Edit Attribute Terms
- To modify individual terms within an attribute, go to Products > Attributes > Terms.
- Click Configure Terms next to the attribute.
- Select the term you want to update and click Edit (e.g., “Large” or “Cotton”).
Step 4: Enable or Disable Price Adjustments
- Toggle the Enable option to activate or deactivate price markup or discounts for the selected attribute or term.
Step 5: Choose the Price Application Type
- Apply On: Decide whether to apply the price changes to the Sale Price or the Regular Price.
- Select the Adjustment Type: Choose how to modify the prices:
- Fixed Increase: Add a fixed amount to the price.
- Fixed Decrease: Deduct a fixed amount from the price.
- Percentage Increase: Add a percentage to the price.
- Percentage Decrease: Deduct a percentage from the price.
- Fixed Price: Set a specific price for the product.
Step 6: Enter the Adjustment Amount
Specify the exact value for the selected adjustment type in the Amount field.
Step 7: Save Changes
Once all settings are updated, click Update to save the changes for the attribute or term.
