Allowing Sorting Rules to be Applied Across the Entire Store
The PrestaShop Priority Sorting for In-Stock Products module allows sorting rules to apply across the entire store, which is essential for store owners who want a consistent shopping experience for all customers. This feature ensures that in-stock products appear first in every product listing, regardless of category, manufacturer, or customer group.
Let’s go through the steps to enable this feature across your PrestaShop store.
Step 1: Install and Activate the Module
- Install the PrestaShop Priority Sorting for In-Stock Products module if it’s not yet installed.
- Activate the module:
- Go to General Settings and toggle Enable Module to make sure in-stock products are prioritized.
- Click Save to apply these changes.
Step 2: Access the Rules Tab
- In the module settings, open the Rules tab.
- Click the “+” button to create a new rule that will apply across your store.
Step 3: Configure Basic Rule Details
Activate the Rule: Toggle the rule to active to start applying the sorting conditions.
Name: Enter a unique name for the rule so you can easily manage it in the future.
Set Priority: Choose a numeric value for priority. Lower numbers indicate higher priority, allowing this rule to be applied first if needed.
Step 4: Apply Sorting Storewide
Enable All Store: Select the All Store option to apply this rule across the entire store.
With this setting enabled, in-stock products will be prioritized in all listings, regardless of any specific category, manufacturer, or customer group criteria.
Step 5: Save the Rule
After entering all the necessary details, click Save.
The rule is now active, and it will prioritize in-stock products storewide.
