Customizing In-Stock Sorting Rules for Individual Categories, Manufacturers, and Suppliers

Showcase your products effectively with the PrestaShop Priority Sorting for In-Stock Products module. It allows you to customize in-stock sorting rules for individual categories, manufacturers, and suppliers. This feature allows you to prioritize items that are ready to ship within specific categories, from certain manufacturers, or provided by select suppliers. 

Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you set up customized in-stock sorting rules for these parameters:

Step 1: Install and Activate the Module

  • Install the PrestaShop Priority Sorting for In-Stock Products module if you haven’t already.
  • Activate the module by navigating to the General Settings section.
  • Toggle the setting to Enable, ensuring that in-stock products appear at the top of product listings.
  • Click Save to apply the changes.

Step 2: Access the Rules Tab

  • Go to the Rules tab within the module settings.
  • Click the “+” button to create a new sorting rule tailored to your needs.

Step 3: Configure the Rule

Activate the Rule: Toggle the rule to active to enable your sorting conditions.

Name: Assign a unique name to your rule to help you identify it later.

Set Priority: Choose a numeric priority value. Lower numbers mean higher priority, allowing this rule to be applied before others.

Step 4: Customize Sorting by Customer Groups

Choose Groups: Select specific customer groups for which this rule should apply, if necessary.

This allows you to customize the sorting experience for wholesale, retail, or other customer segments.

Step 5: Target Specific Categories, Manufacturers, and Suppliers

Disable All Store: To apply sorting conditions on specific categories, manufacturers, or suppliers, disable the All Store option.

Choose Categories: Enable this option and specify the categories where in-stock prioritization should apply.

Choose Manufacturer: Enable this option to sort based on selected manufacturers, ensuring their in-stock products are prioritized.

Choose Supplier: Select this option to apply sorting for specific suppliers, displaying their in-stock items at the top.

Step 6: Save the Rule

After entering all necessary details, click Save to finalize the rule.
