Managing tax exemption requests is crucial for ensuring compliance with tax regulations while maintaining a seamless customer experience. By approving or declining requests directly from the backend, store owners can streamline operations and keep their records organized.

Follow this step-by-step guide to handle exemption requests using the PrestaShop Tax Exempt Module:

Step 1: Install the PrestaShop Tax Exempt Module

  • Download and install the PrestaShop Tax Exempt Module from a trusted source.
  • Navigate to your PrestaShop Admin Panel.
  • Go to Modules > Module Manager.
  • Search for Addify Tax Exempt, click Install, and activate the module.

Step 2: Access the Configuration Panel

  • Navigate to Modules > Installed Modules.
  • Locate Addify Tax Exempt and click on Configure.
  • You’ll be directed to the module’s dashboard, where you can manage tax exemption settings.

Step 3: Navigate to the Tax Exemption Requests Log

  • In the module settings, click on the Tax Exemption Requests Log tab.
  • Here, you’ll find a tabular record of all submitted tax exemption requests.
  • Each entry displays details such as customer name, request date, uploaded documents, and status.

Step 4: Review Submitted Requests

  • Click on a specific request to view its details.
  • Review the information provided by the customer, including any uploaded supporting documents.
  • Assess the eligibility of the request based on your business rules or tax exemption policies.

Step 5: Approve or Decline Requests

  • To Approve a Request: Click the Approve button next to the request. The customer will be notified of the approval, and tax exemptions will automatically apply to their purchases.
  • To Decline a Request: Click the Reject button next to the request. Provide a reason for rejection (optional), and the customer will be notified accordingly.

Step 6: Monitor Request Status

  • Use the status column in the log to monitor pending, approved, and declined requests.
  • Regularly update the log to ensure prompt responses to new submissions.
