Configuration of Addify Multi-Currency Switcher

Creating Multiple Currencies for Your Store

Go to WooCommerce > Custom Currencies > Currency.

Managing All Currencies in a Log:

Within the Currency management interface, you can perform various tasks related to managing multiple currencies for your store. These tasks include:

  • Viewing a complete log of currencies added
  • Editing existing currencies
  • Performing bulk actions
  • Viewing currency properties such as Currency Label, Currency Symbol, and Exchange Rate
  • Adding new currencies
  • Exporting/Importing currencies in bulk using a .CSV file

Adding a New Currency:

To add a new currency to display on your store, follow these steps:

Click on “Add New” within the Currency management interface.

Provide the following details for the new currency:

  • Flag Options: Choose from the two options:
    • Select: Choose a flag from the range of available options
    • Upload: Upload a custom flag image
  • Label: Add a custom label for the currency
  • Currency: Choose a currency from the dropdown menu
  • Rate Option: Choose the currency rate:
    • Manual Currency Rate
    • Auto Currency Rate
  • Rate and Commission: Set currency value manually or obtain the exchange rate from an API layer. The currency value will be set according to the base currency.
  • Countries: Select countries to automatically switch to the selected currency.
  • Hide Payment Gateway for Selected Currency: Select the payment method to hide for users that use the selected currency.

Click “Publish” to save the new currency configuration.

Adjusting the Currency Exchange API Globally

Go to WooCommerce > Custom Currencies > Settings > API.

Currency Exchange API: In the Currency Exchange API section, you will find a dropdown menu with the following options:

  • Exchanges Rates Data API
  • Fixer API
  • Currency Data API

API Key: Insert the API key in the designated field.

Automatically Update Exchange Rates: Specify how often you want the exchange rates to be updated by selecting one of the following options:

  • Hourly
  • Daily 

Click “Save Changes” to apply the new API settings.

Enabling Currency Widgets on Your Store

Go to WooCommerce > Custom Currencies > Settings > Widget.

Within the Widget settings, you will find the following options:

Show Sticky Currency Widget: Enable or disable the side currency switcher on your site.

Limit Currencies in Sticky Widget: Choose to limit the number of currencies displayed in the sticky widget.

Show Flags in Sticky Widget: Choose the position of the flag or whether to hide them. Options include:

  • Yes, on the right side
  • Yes, on the left side
  • No

Click “Save Changes” to apply the changes to the currency widgets on your store.

Displaying Currency Converter in Navigation

Go to WooCommerce > Custom Currencies > Settings > Menu.

Enable: Enable the option to show currency converter to a user in nav-menu.

Basic Field(s): Specify the basic field(s) to show in the switcher after the site page loading. You can use the following variants:

  • {LABEL}{FLAG} {SIGN}

Click “Save Changes” to apply the settings.

Customizing the Color Scheme of Currency Widgets 

Go to WooCommerce > Custom Currencies > Settings > Style.

Set the following color options according to your preferences:

  • Widget Text: Set the widget text color.
  • Widget Active Selection: Set the color for the active selection in the widget.
  • Widget Background Color: Set the background color for the widget.
  • Widget Border Color: Set the border color for the widget.

Click “Save Changes” to save the customized color scheme.

Adding Multi-Currency Options to the Coupons

Go to WooCommerce > Coupons. 

Add a new coupon or edit any existing coupon.

In the Multi-Currency Options section, set a different value of discount for each currency.

Enter the following details against each currency symbol:

  • Coupon Amount
  • Minimum Spend (if applicable)
  • Maximum Spend (if applicable)

Save the changes to apply the multi-currency options to the coupon.

Specifying Shipping Methods for Various Zones

Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping > Shipping Zones. 

Click on “Add Shipping Method” within the desired shipping zone.

Provide the following details:

  • Name: Customers will see the name of this shipping method during checkout.
  • Free Shipping Requires: Choose from the dropdown options based on your requirements.
  • Minimum Order Amount: Specify the minimum order amount for free shipping (if applicable).
  • Apply Minimum Order Rule Before Coupon Discount: Check this option if free shipping should be available based on the pre-discount order amount.

Click on “Save” to apply the specified shipping method settings.\
