Creating Multiple Groups to Markup or Discount Prices for Specific Attributes and Groups
The ability to create multiple pricing groups allows better control over product pricing based on specific attributes, such as size, color, or material. This feature is especially helpful when running targeted promotions or managing tiered pricing strategies.
The WooCommerce Attribute Price Markup and Discount plugin makes it easy to organize attributes into groups and adjust prices efficiently.
Step 1: Install and Activate the Plugin
- Download the WooCommerce Attribute Price Markup and Discount plugin from your WooCommerce account.
- Log in to your WordPress Admin dashboard.
- Navigate to Plugins > Add New, upload the plugin’s .zip file, and click Install Now.
- Once installed, click Activate to enable the plugin.
Step 2: Navigate to the Rule Settings
- In your WordPress Admin dashboard, go to WooCommerce > Attribute Price.
- Click Add New Rule to start creating a new pricing rule.
Step 3: Set Up Basic Rule Details
- Add Title: Enter a descriptive title to identify the rule easily (e.g., “Holiday Sale – Entire Catalog”).
- Enable/Disable Rule: Toggle to enable the rule if you want it to be active or disable it to save it for later use.
- Date: Define the start and end dates for the rule if you want it to run on a schedule.
Step 4: Create Multiple Groups
- Add Group: Click on Add Group to create a group of attributes and terms.
- Group Title: Provide a title for the group (e.g., “Premium Materials”).
- Apply On: Select whether to apply the pricing changes to Sale Price or Regular Price.
Step 5: Customize Price Adjustments
- Adjustment Type: Choose how you want to modify the prices for this group:
- Fixed Increase: Add a fixed amount to the price.
- Fixed Decrease: Deduct a fixed amount from the price.
- Percentage Increase: Add a percentage to the price.
- Percentage Decrease: Deduct a percentage from the price.
- Fixed Price: Set a specific price for the product.
- Amount: Enter the exact value for the selected adjustment type.
Step 6: Add Attributes to Each Group
- Click Add Attribute to select specific product attributes and terms (e.g., “Color: Red” or “Size: Large”) to apply the rule.
- Repeat this step for each attribute or term you want to include in the group.
Set Rule Priority
- Order: Assign a priority order to this rule. Lower numbers indicate higher priority when multiple rules are applied.
Publish the Rule
Once all groups and settings are configured, click Publish to activate the rule.
