Offering Products as a Gift Based on User Role or Time Period
To offer products as a gift based on user role or time period using the WooCommerce Advanced Free Gifts plugin, follow these steps:
Navigate to WooCommerce > Free Gifts > Rules.
Click on “Add New Rule” to create a new rule.
Set Rule Title: Enter a unique title for the rule to reference it in the future.
Configure User and Cart Restrictions:
Under the “User and Cart Restrictions” section, locate the following options:
- Select Role: Assign roles for the gift rule. If you want the rule to apply to specific user roles, select the roles from the dropdown. Leave this field empty if you want the rule to apply to all roles.
- Use Once Only: Check this box to allow users to avail free gifts from this rule only once (lifetime restriction). Note that this functionality may not work for guest users since they do not have user accounts.
Configure Gift Settings:
Proceed to configure the gift settings based on your preferences. This includes selecting the gift product(s), setting the maximum number of gifts, and choosing whether the gifts should be added automatically or manually.
Save the Rule:
After configuring the settings, save the rule.
Now, the rule you’ve created will offer products as gifts based on the user role or time period. Users with the specified roles will be eligible for the gifts, and the “Use Once Only” option ensures that users can avail free gifts from this rule only once (lifetime restriction).
