Customizing the Payment Option Label
Access WooCommerce Payment Settings:
Log in to your WordPress dashboard.
Navigate to WooCommerce > Settings.
Enable or Disable the Payment Method:
In the Payments tab, you will see a list of available payment methods.
Find “Invoice Payments” or the payment method you want to customize, and click on it to edit its settings.
Enable/Disable: Enable or disable the Invoice Payment option.
Customize the Payment Option Label:
You can customize how the payment method is labeled during the checkout process.
Edit the following fields:
Title: Define the title that will be displayed during checkout. This is the name of the payment method.
Description: Add a payment method description that will be displayed during checkout. This can provide additional information about the payment method.
Instructions: Add instructions that will be shown on the thank you page after a successful order. You can use this field to provide guidance to customers on how to complete their payment.
Choose an Order Status: Select the order status that will be set after a successful checkout using this payment method. This status helps you manage your orders efficiently. The available options typically include:
- Pending Payment: Use this when the payment has been initiated but not completed.
- Processing: Set the status to processing when the payment is received and the order is being prepared for shipment.
- On hold: Use this when you want to review the order before processing further.
- Completed: The order is marked as completed when it’s been successfully processed and completed.
- Draft: This option may be useful for draft orders, but it’s not typically used for completed orders.
Save Your Changes:
After making the desired changes, remember to save your settings to apply the customizations.
Once you’ve completed these steps, the Invoice Payments or the customized payment method will be set up according to your preferences. Customers will see the title and description during checkout, and you can manage orders with the specified order status.
