How to Add Multiple Variables in Notice to Customers About Order Tracking?

Adding Multiple Variables in Notice to Customers

To add multiple variables in notices to customers about order tracking, you can follow the instructions provided by the WooCommerce Order Tracking Plugin. Here’s how you can customize order tracking notices with multiple variables:

Go to WooCommerce > Order Tracking > Order Tracking Settings.

Enable Order Tracking Information:

Toggle the “Enable Order Tracking Information” option to enable or disable order tracking information on the order view page.

Set Tracking Title:

Select the “Tracking Title” that will be displayed above the tracking information. This title will provide context for the tracking details.

Customize Text in the Orders Page:

In the “Text in the Orders Page” field, you can customize the text shown on the Order details page.

Use placeholders such as {CARRIER_NAME}, {TRACKING_ID}, {PICKUP_DATE}, and {TRACKING_LINK} to represent real tracking information. This allows you to include specific details related to the order’s tracking.

Choose Text Position in Order Details Page:

Select where the tracking text appears on the order detail page. You have options like:

  • Before Order Details
  • Before Order Details Table
  • Before Customer Details
  • After Customer Details

Display Tracking Info in the Order List:

Decide whether you want to display the tracking information in a new column of the order list table.

Set Button Label:

Select the tracking button label that customers will see. If left empty, the button title will default to the shipping name.

Customize Button Appearance:

Choose the “Button Background Color” and “Button Label Color” to match your website’s styling.

Customize Button Icon:

Customize the tooltip text appearing on the my-account > orders list when an order is marked as picked up.

Use placeholders like {CARRIER_NAME}, {TRACKING_ID}, {PICKUP_DATE}, and {TRACKING_LINK} to represent shipping information. This allows you to provide additional information when the order is marked as picked up.

Customize Order Non-Pickup Tooltip:

Customize the tooltip text appearing on the my-account > orders list when an order has not yet been picked up.

Use the same placeholders {CARRIER_NAME}, {TRACKING_ID}, {PICKUP_DATE}, and {TRACKING_LINK} to represent shipping information.

Customizing Order Tracking Emails

In the “Tracking Emails” section, you can customize the text of the email that will be sent to the buyer when the order is marked as complete.

Use placeholders like {CARRIER_NAME}, {TRACKING_ID}, {PICKUP_DATE}, and {TRACKING_LINK} in your email content. This enables you to provide detailed tracking information to the buyer in the order completion email.

By using these variables and settings, you can create highly personalized and informative order-tracking notices and emails for your customers.
