Configuration of WooCommerce Review for Discount
Managing Coupons in a Log
Navigate to your WordPress dashboard and go to WooCommerce > Review for Discounts you’ll see a log where you can manage existing coupons. Here, you can edit any coupon already created, add new coupons, or perform bulk actions like deleting multiple coupons at once.
Adding a New Discount Coupon
Go to WooCommerce > Review for Discounts. Here, you can create and manage multiple coupons.
Click on “Add New Post” to initiate the creation of a new discount coupon.
Add Title: Give your coupon a clear and descriptive title that will help you identify it later.
Add New Review Discount:
Coupon Description: Enter a brief description of the coupon.
Trigger Coupons on Selected Products & Categories
Triggering Event: Choose the appropriate option based on your preference:
- Single Review: This option triggers the coupon to be sent to the customer after they leave a single review.
- Triggering Products: Select the specific products that will trigger the coupon.
- Triggering Product Categories: Alternatively, choose entire product categories.
- Multiple Review: This option triggers the coupon after the customer leaves a specified number of reviews.
- Requested Quantity: Specify the quantity.
Choosing a Discount Type
Discount Type: Choose the type of discount you want to offer:
- Percentage Discount: This type of discount deducts a percentage off the total purchase amount.
- Fixed Cart Discount: This discount subtracts a fixed amount from the total cart value.
- Fixed Product Discount: This discount provides a fixed amount off specific products.
Configuring Coupon Details
Coupon Amount: Specify the discount amount or percentage to be applied when the coupon is redeemed.
Coupon Expire Date: Set the expiration date for the coupon.
Coupon Prefix: Add a prefix to your coupon code for organizational purposes.
Usage Limit Per Coupon: Determine how many times a single coupon can be used.
Usage Limit Per User: Specify the maximum number of times a single user can use the coupon.
Allow Free Shipping: Check this box if the coupon grants free shipping on eligible orders. Ensure that the free shipping method is enabled and set to require a valid free shipping coupon.
Single Use Only: Check this box if the coupon cannot be combined with other coupons. This ensures that the discount provided by this coupon is exclusive and cannot be stacked with other discounts.
Exclude Sale Items: Check this box if the coupon should not apply to items that are already on sale. This prevents double discounts on sale items.
Minimum Amount to Spend: Set a minimum purchase amount that must be met before the coupon can be applied.
Maximum Amount to Spend: Set a maximum purchase amount for the coupon to be valid.
Limiting Products & Categories
Products: Choose the specific products to which you want the discount coupon to apply. Customers can redeem the coupon only when purchasing these selected products.
Exclude Products: Optionally, select any products that you want to exclude from the discount offer. Customers won’t be able to use the coupon for these excluded products.
Categories: Choose entire product categories to which the discount coupon should apply. Any product within the selected categories will be eligible for the discount.
Exclude Categories: Similarly, you can exclude entire product categories from the discount offer. Products in these excluded categories won’t be eligible for the coupon discount.
Once you’ve configured the details for your discount coupon, click the “Publish” button to save and activate the coupon.
Enabling Reviews for Discounts
Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Review for Discounts Setting > General Setting.
Enable Plugin: Check the checkbox to enable the plugin.
Deletion of Expired Coupons: Enable this feature to automatically delete expired coupons.
Automating Discount Emails
Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Review for Discounts Setting > Cron Job Settings.
Cron Type: Choose your preferred cron format. Options include:
- Seconds
- Days
- Hours
- Minutes
Select Time: Select the desired interval by entering the time value.
Configuring Email Reminders for Customers
Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Review for Discounts Setting > Reminder Email.
Cron Type: Choose your preferred cron format. Options include:
- Seconds
- Days
- Hours
- Minutes
Select Time: Enter the desired time value to specify the interval at which the system sends out reminder emails.
How Many Times Send a Reminder Message: Specify how many times you want to send a reminder message to customers who haven’t left a review yet.
