Adjusting the Product Review Form Fields and Form Layout

Customize the product review form fields and layout using the WooCommerce Smart Product Review plugin.

Ensure you have installed and activated the WooCommerce Smart Product Review plugin.

Displaying a Review Form

Go to WooCommerce > Smart Product Review > Review Form Settings > General.

Review Form Label: Enter a custom label for the review form.

Submit Label: Enter a custom label for the submit button.

After entering the custom labels, click the “Save Changes” button to apply the changes.

Customizing Review Form for Multiple Fields

Log in to your WooCommerce admin panel.

Navigate to WooCommerce > Smart Product Review > Review Form Settings. 

Configure Form Labels: 

  • Review Form Label: Enter a custom label for the review form.
  • Submit Label: Enter a custom label for the submit button.

Configure Individual Fields: 

Customize the label and placeholder for the individual fields. Make the fields required and enter a custom message. Configure the following fields:

  • Display Name
  • Email
  • Rating
  • Review Description
  • Review Title

After configuring the fields, click the “Save Changes” button to apply the changes.

Providing the Option to Add Images/Videos to Reviews

Navigate to WooCommerce > Smart Product Review > Review Form Settings > Image/Videos.

Configure Image Upload:

  • Enable Image Upload: Check this box to allow customers to upload images with their reviews.
  • Choose File Extension for Images: Select the allowed file extensions for image uploads (e.g., jpg, jpeg, png, gif).

Configure Video Upload:

  • Enable Video Upload: Check this box to allow customers to upload videos with their reviews.
  • Choose File Extension for Videos: Select the allowed file extensions for video uploads (e.g., mp4, m4v, mov, wmv, avi, mpg, ogv, 3gp, 3g2).

Additional Upload Settings:

  • Upload Button Label: Enter a custom label for the upload button.
  • Max Upload File Size: Enter the maximum upload size in MB (default is 8MB).
  • Max Upload File Limit: Enter the maximum number of files allowed for multiple uploads (default is 3).
  • Required Field: Check this box to make the image/video upload a required field.
  • Required Message: Enter a custom message to display if the field is left empty.

After configuring the settings, click the “Save Changes” button to apply the changes.

Selecting a Custom Layout to Display Reviews

Navigate to WooCommerce > Smart Product Review > Layout Settings. 

Choose Layout and Template:

Choose Layout: Select the layout format for displaying reviews:

  • Grid 
  • List 
  • Slider

Choose Template: Select a specific template for the chosen layout.

After configuring the settings, click the “Save Changes” button to apply the changes.

By following these steps, you can effectively adjust the product review form fields and customize the layout of reviews displayed on your WooCommerce store using the Smart Product Review plugin. This customization helps in improving user experience and ensuring that reviews are presented in a manner that suits your store’s aesthetic and functional needs.
