Applying Restrictions to Tipping Options
To apply restrictions to tipping or donations on your WooCommerce store using the Addify Tipping at Cart & Checkout plugin, follow these steps:
Install and Activate the Plugin:
Make sure you have installed and activated the Addify Woo Tipping or Donation plugin on your WordPress website.
Access Tipping or Donation Settings:
Navigate to WooCommerce > Settings in your WordPress dashboard.
Navigate to Restrictions:
Within the WooCommerce settings, click on the “Tipping at Cart & Checkout” tab, then select “Restrictions.”
Configure Product Restrictions:
Under “Products,” specify which products trigger tipping options when added to the cart. You can select specific products that will activate tipping or donation options.
Define Category Restrictions:
In the “Categories” section, define specific product categories that will activate tipping options when items from these categories are added to the cart. This allows you to apply tipping or donation options based on product categories.
Choose Shipping Method Restrictions:
Under “Shipping Methods,” choose shipping methods that, when selected during checkout, trigger the availability of tipping options. For example, you might want to enable tipping options only when certain shipping methods are chosen. The available options might include:
- Flat Rate
- Local Pickup
Restrict Tipping Options Based on User Roles:
Under the “General Settings” tab, scroll down to locate “Select User Roles”.
Choose specific user roles to display the tipping section. Leave it empty to show it to all customers.
Save Changes:
After configuring the restrictions according to your preferences, remember to save the changes.
