Allowing Admin or Customers to Edit Fields at Membership Registration
To allow the admin or customers to edit fields at membership registration in WooCommerce using the UL Membership plugin, follow these steps:
Add a New Profile Field:
Go to WooCommerce > UL Membership > Profile Fields > Add New Field.
Configure Profile Field Attributes:
Provide a suitable title for your new field under “Add Title.”
Set the following profile field attributes:
- Field Name: Provide a unique name for the field. This name is used as a meta key to store values in the database.
- Field Type: Choose the type of field from options such as:
- Text
- Number
- File
- Textarea
- Select (dropdown)
- Multi Select
- Radio
- Checkbox
- Field Label: Enter the label for the field.
- Field Placeholder: Set a placeholder for the field.
Configure Profile Field Restrictions:
- Membership Plans: Select the membership plans for which this field should be available. Leave this field empty to make it available for all plans.
- Editable By: Choose who can edit this field:
- Admin Only
- Admin and User
- Show Field On: Specify where this field should be displayed:
- Registration
- Checkout
- My account
- Member Profile (Admin)
Note: Fields with the type “file” are not allowed on the checkout page.
Set Field Priority:
- Set the field priority using the “Field Priority” option.
- Assign a numerical order to the field for prioritization under “Order.”
Enable/Disable the Field:
- Set the field status by choosing “Enable” or “Disable.”
Save Changes:
Save the profile field settings after configuring all the attributes and restrictions.
By following these steps, you can add a new profile field with specific attributes and restrictions. This field can then be edited during membership registration based on the configuration you’ve set.
