Assigning New Users to Specific Customer Groups Automatically
Prestashop Approve New User Registrations module allows you to auto-assign approved users to predefined customer groups such as visitor, guest, or customer. You can also enable automatic assignment based on the user’s registration approval status to streamline user management and ensure that users are categorized correctly from the moment they join.
Follow the steps below to enable this feature on your store.
Step 1: Install the Module
- Install the PrestaShop Approver – Approve New Users at Registrations module from the PrestaShop Addons marketplace.
Step 2: Access the Module Configuration
- After installation, navigate to the Modules section in the PrestaShop backend.
- Find and select Addify Approve New Users at Registrations to open the configuration settings.
Step 3: Set Up Automatic Approval
Go to General Settings and enable the following:
- Enable Auto Approve User: Automatically approves new user registrations without manual intervention.
- Auto Assign Customer Group: Automatically assigns approved users to a specific customer group.
- Customer Group: Select the customer group (e.g., visitor, guest, customer) to auto-assign.
Step 4: Save Changes
Click Save to apply all configuration changes.
