Adding Multiple Currency Options and Displaying Currency Widgets
Catering to diverse currencies makes your store accessible to customers worldwide, expanding your reach and potential customer base. Additionally, displaying currency widgets ensures transparency in pricing, as customers can easily see and compare prices in different currencies.
To add multiple currency options and display currency widgets on your site, follow these steps:
Install and Activate the Addify Multi-Currency Switcher Plugin:
This plugin facilitates the addition of multiple currencies and the display of currency widgets on your WooCommerce store.
Adding a New Currency:
Navigate to the Currency management interface and click on “Add New.”
Provide the following details for the new currency:
- Flag Options: Choose a flag from the available options or upload a custom flag image.
- Label: Add a custom label for the currency.
- Currency: Select the desired currency from the dropdown menu.
- Rate Option: Choose between Manual Currency Rate or Auto Currency Rate.
- Rate and Commission: Set the currency value manually or obtain the exchange rate from an API layer.
- Countries: Select countries to automatically switch to the chosen currency.
- Hide Payment Gateway for Selected Currency: Choose the payment method to hide for users using the selected currency.
Click “Publish” to save the new currency configuration.
Displaying Currency Widgets on the Site:
Go to WooCommerce > Custom Currencies > Settings > Widget.
Within the Widget settings, adjust the following options:
- Show Sticky Currency Widget: Enable or disable the side currency switcher on your site.
- Limit Currencies in Sticky Widget: Choose to limit the number of currencies displayed in the sticky widget.
- Show Flags in Sticky Widget: Choose the position of the flag or whether to hide them (e.g., on the right side, left side, or hide).
Click “Save Changes” to apply the changes to the currency widgets on your store.
