Showing the Stock Status of Components on the Product Page
Customers often come across stock shortages when they are at the checkout page, which makes them frustrated. To display the stock status information of components on the product page using the Composite Products for WooCommerce plugin, follow these steps:
- Go to your WordPress dashboard. Navigate to Products > Add New.
- In the “Product Data” panel, select “Configurable Product” as the product type.
- Next, go to the “Components” tab to add new components.
- Go to advanced settings and locate the option “Stock Availability”. In the “Stock Availability” dropdown, you have two options:
- Hide Stock Message in Dropdown: Selecting this option will hide any stock status messages related to the component on the product page. This is useful if you don’t want to display stock information for this specific component.
- Show Stock Message in Dropdown: If you choose this option, the stock status message for the component will be displayed on the product page. This message will inform customers about the availability of the component, such as whether it’s in stock or out of stock.
- Select the second option to display stock status.
- After configuring the stock availability for your components, save the composite product as a draft or publish it to make it available on your WooCommerce store.
By following these steps and selecting the appropriate stock availability option for each component, you can control whether stock status information is displayed or hidden for each component on the product page of your composite product. Customers will see this information when configuring the product or making selections.
