Applying Multiple Rules to Control Subscription Cancellations
Apply multiple rules to control subscription cancellations using the Woo Subscription Cancellation Custom Rules plugin. This allows you to manage subscriptions with greater flexibility and precision, ensure that your cancellation policies meet your business needs, and provide clear guidelines to your users.
Install and Activate the Plugin:
- Log in to your WordPress admin panel.
- Navigate to Plugins > Add New.
- Search for “Woo Subscription Cancellation Custom Rules”.
- Click Install Now next to the plugin.
Activate the Plugin:
- Once installed, click Activate to enable the plugin.
Access Product Settings:
- Go to Products: In the WordPress admin panel, go to Products.
- Select a Product: Choose the product for which you want to configure subscription cancellation rules.
Locate Product Data:
- Open Product Data: Scroll down to the “Product Data” section.
- From the dropdown menu, select Simple Subscription.
Configure Subscription Cancellation Rules:
- Select Cancellation Rules: In the “Product Data” section, find the options to configure subscription cancellation rules.
Enable/Disable Cancellation:
- Set rules for when cancellation is allowed or not allowed.
- Choose Enable Cancellation to allow users to cancel.
- Choose Disable Cancellation to prevent users from cancelling.
Set Interval for Cancellation Rules:
- Choose the interval type for the rule (Minute, Hour, Day, Week).
Define Start and End Time:
- Enter the start time when users can start cancelling.
- Enter the end time until when users can cancel.
Enable Cooling Period:
- Check the option to enable a cooling period, which is a time before the rule starts during which no cancellation rules apply.
- Specify the length of the cooling period.
Specify Applicable Billing Periods:
- Define the maximum number of billing periods or successful payments after which a user cannot cancel or reactivate their subscription.
Apply Rules to Specific User Roles:
- Select the user roles to which the cancellation rules will apply (e.g., Administrator, Subscriber, Customer, etc.).
Hide Switch and Suspend Buttons:
- Enable the option to hide the switch button if you do not want users to switch to another subscription plan.
- Enable the option to hide the suspend button if you do not want users to temporarily pause their subscription.
Update the Product:
- Save Changes: After configuring the rules, click on the Update button to apply the changes to the product.
