Offering Discounts Based on User Roles
Go to WP Admin Panel > Role Based Pricing > Role Based Pricing Rules > Add New Rule.
Look for the “Role Based Pricing (By User Roles)” section.
Configure the Rule:
In the “Role Based Pricing (By User Roles)” section, you will be presented with the following options:
- User Role: Select the specific user role for which you want to offer the discount. This could be roles like “Subscriber,” “Customer,” “Wholesale Customer,” or any custom roles you’ve created.
- Adjustment Type: Choose one of the adjustment types for the discount:
- Fixed Price: Set a specific fixed price for the selected user role.
- Fixed Increase: Increase the original price by a fixed amount.
- Fixed Decrease: Decrease the original price by a fixed amount.
- Percentage Increase: Increase the original price by a percentage.
- Percentage Decrease: Decrease the original price by a percentage.
Specify the Discount Details:
Depending on the selected adjustment type, you will need to provide additional details such as:
- Value: Add the value for the discount based on the chosen adjustment type.
- Min Qty: Optionally, enter a minimum quantity for the discount to apply.
- Max Qty: Optionally, enter a maximum quantity for the discount to apply.
- Replace Original Price?: Check this option if you want the discounted price to completely replace the original price.
If you want to offer discounts for multiple user roles, repeat these steps for each user role you wish to target.
After configuring the discount details, make sure to save the rule.
By following these steps, you can set up and offer discounts based on user roles in WooCommerce. This allows you to provide different pricing structures and discounts to different user roles on your online store.
