Emailing Non-Logged-In Users

To capture guest emails, follow these steps: 

Step 1: Install the WooCommerce Abandoned Cart plugin

Step 2: To activate the plugin, go to Cart Recovery > Settings > General and check the Enable Abandoned Cart option to activate the plugin for your store.

Step 3: Visit Cart Recovery > Settings > User Settings to configure the following options to capture guest emails: 

  • Enable Abandoned Cart for Guest Users: You can choose from the following four options to decide how guest carts will be dealt with: 
  • Never: The guest cart won’t be recorded, and no emails will be sent out
  • Capture from the checkout page: Capture the cart from checkout after a user inserts the billing email.
  • Pre-capture without privacy text: Enable a popup to pre-capture emails even before they go to the checkout page. If the user declines to share – the email will be captured from the checkout page
  • Pre-capture with privacy text: Use a pre-capture email popup with a privacy disclaimer. If the user declines to share – the email will be captured from the checkout page
  • Popup Title: Add a custom popup title to be displayed on a pop-up modal for guest users
  • Privacy Policy for Guest Users: Add text for the Privacy Policy for Guest Users 
  • Disable abandoned Cart for selected User Roles: Select the user roles for which abandoned carts won’t be tracked.
