Replacing Add to Cart with Add to Quote
PrestaShop Request a Quote module allows you to show or hide the product prices and add to cart button and replace the same with a quote button. This feature facilitates a quotation-based system where customers can negotiate prices and quantities before making a purchase.
To replace the “Add to Cart” button with an “Add to Quote” button using the Prestashop Request a Quote module, you can follow these steps:
- Log in to your Prestashop admin panel.
- Navigate to the “Modules” section and find the “Request a Quote” module.
- Open the module settings, and locate “Addify Request a Quote Rules”. Click on “+” to add a new rule or edit an existing rule to apply the restriction.
- Go to “Hide Price” and “Hide Add to Cart Button” to enable this functionality.
- Next, locate “Button Text” and enter a custom text to appear in place of Add to Cart button, e.g. “Add to Quote”.
- Save the changes and check your storefront.
You can also configure button text color and its background color to suit your store.
By configuring these settings, the “Add to Cart” button will be replaced with an “Add to Quote” button for all the products in your store. This change allows customers to add products to a quote list instead of directly adding them to the cart. They can then submit the quote request with their desired quantity and offered price for the products they are interested in.
